So, how many emails can you send? Is the limit per email account, per domain, or per hosting package? And how many email accounts can you actually create with a particular web host?
Take a look above at our list of hosts and their sending limits, or read below for more details about each host’s email policy.
#1: BlueHost Max Email Limit
Email limit per hour: 750
Limit type: per email account
Email accounts allowed: five on the cheapest plan, unlimited on largest plan
Bluehost’s limit is per email account. This means that you can send up to 5 * 750 = 3,750 emails per hour, or 90,000 emails per day, on their basic shared hosting plan.
Bluehost offers a generous amount of storage and unlimited bandwidth at a competitive price. They are also one of the few hosts with pro-rated refunds.
However, they do suffer from some quality issues, so make sure to read our Bluehost shared hosting review before you choose them

#2: InMotion Email Limit
Sending limit: 250 per hour by default, 750 per hour on request
Limit type: per hosting account
Email accounts allowed: unlimited on all plans
By default, you are limited to 250 emails sent per hour, or 6,000 per day, for all email accounts combined.
However, if you need to send more emails, you can request a limit increase up to 750 per hour, or 18,000 per day.
One of the best things about InMotion is that they allow you to host two websites on their cheapest plan (most hosting services only allow one website). They also offer unmetered server resources and one of the longest money-back guarantees in the business.
However, considering their high prices, other web hosts listed on this page will probably make better options if shared hosting with high email sending limits is your top priority.

- Websites allowed: two

#3: GoDaddy Email Limit
Sending limit: 500 per hour
Limit type: per hosting account
Email accounts allowed: 10 on the cheapest plan, 1,000 on largest plan
Because GoDaddy’s limit is calculated on a per-cPanel-account basis, the number of email accounts you create won’t have any bearing on the number of emails you can send – you are still limited to 500 per hour or 12,000 per day.
GoDaddy’s shared hosting plan is quite expensive (even considering that their prices are negotiable), but they are one of the few shared hosts that do free malware scanning and removal, and their email sending limits are quite generous.

- Starting price: $5.99/mo.
- Websites allowed: one
- Storage: 100 GB
- Bandwidth: unlimited
- Control panel: cPanel
- Money-back guarantee: 30 days

#4: HostGator Email Limit
Sending limit: 500 per hour
Limit type: per domain
Email accounts allowed: unlimited
The restrictions above mean that you can send up to 12,000 emails per day combined from all mailboxes created under a particular domain.
HostGator’s cheapest shared hosting plan comes with unlimited bandwidth and storage (read: the hidden costs of unlimited hosting resources), a very competitive price on their 3-year plan, and a solid refund guarantee.

#5: AccuWeb Email Limit
Sending limit: 500 per hour
Limit type: per hosting account
Email accounts allowed: 150 with the cheapest plan, 1,000 with the highest plan
With a generous amount of storage, free backups and restorations, a free domain, and fantastic live chat support, AccuWeb is worth considering – as long as their email limit fits your needs. Like SiteGround, they also offer student discounts.

#6: PowWeb Email Limit
Sending limit: 500 per hour, 5,000 per day
Limit type: per email account
Email accounts allowed: unlimited with all plans
PowWeb is one of the few hosts that allow unlimited emails on their basic shared hosting plan. This doesn’t mean that you can send millions of emails per hour by creating thousands of email accounts – this isn’t a reasonable expectation at less than $4 a month. Still, you’ll probably be able to send up to 30,000-50,000 emails per day without issues.
Make sure to read our PowWeb review – the quality of their service is surprisingly decent given their relative obscurity.

- Starting price: $3.88/mo.

- Storage: unlimited
- Bandwidth: unlimited
- Free domain: one
- Control panel: vDeck

#7: Hostinger Email Limit
Sending limit: 200/hour via Webmail, 500/hour using SMTP
Limit type: per account for Webmail, per IP for SMTP
Email accounts allowed: one with the cheapest plan, unlimited with the highest plan
Hostinger has two separate email limits – one for Webmail, and another for SMTP.
If you are OK with a long-term commitment, Hostinger sells one of the cheapest hosting services you’ll find anywhere. What’s more, their prices are negotiable – you can get up to a 15% discount if you ask for it via live chat. They are even on our list of hosts with free backups and free restorations, which is a big plus.

#8: InterServer Email Limit
Sending limit: 200 per hour
Limit type: per hosting account
Email accounts allowed: unlimited on all plans
InterServer has one of the lower email sending limits on our list.
On the flip side, the quality of their hosting is exceptional (in terms of server performance under traffic spikes and website load speeds). They also offer one of the cheapest annual plans around.

- Starting price: $4/mo.
- Negotiable prices: no

#9: DreamHost Email Limit
Sending limit: 100 per hour
Limit type: per email account
Email accounts allowed: none with the cheapest plan, unlimited on the highest plan
Because you can create an unlimited number of emails on their highest shared hosting plan, you can technically send an unlimited number of emails per hour. However, if you try to send more than a few thousand per hour, you’ll be contacted by DreamHost staff and asked to explain your reasons behind such a high email sending volume.
You’ll find DreamHost on our list of best single-website hosts. They are also at the top of our unlimited Inodes hosting rankings.

- Starting price: $5.95/mo.
- Price negotiable: no
- Websites allowed: unlimited
- Storage: unlimited
- Bandwidth: unlimited

#10: A2 Hosting Email Limit
Sending limit: 100 per hour, 1,000 per day
Limit type: per email account
Email accounts allowed: 25 on the cheapest plan, unlimited on largest plan
Assuming you create the maximum number of mailboxes allowed on the cheapest plan, you get to send up to 2,500 emails per hour and up to 25,000 emails per day.
A2 Hosting is on our list of hosts with the highest Inode limits, and they also secured a spot in our ranking of web hosts with the best concurrent database connection limits.

#11: SiteGround Email Limit
Sending limit: 400 per hour, 800 per day
Limit type: per hosting account
Email accounts allowed: unlimited on all plans
Although we consider SiteGround to be one of the best cheap hosting providers, their daily email sending limits are very low and only suitable for the smallest email marketing campaigns.
On the flip side, they are on our list of hosts with student discounts, as well as one of the cheapest providers for hosting unlimited websites. SiteGround also has surprisingly robust servers, which you’ll appreciate if a good user experience for your site’s visitors is a top priority for you.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about email sending limits
Does “unlimited email sending hosting” exist?
A few of the hosts on our list, such as PowWeb and Bluehost, allow you to create unlimited email accounts, while also having a separate email sending limit for each email account.
This can technically be interpreted as “unlimited email sending hosting” – after all, if you can create an unlimited number of email boxes and have a separate sending limit for each box, then you can always send more emails by simply creating more mailboxes.
However, in practice, it doesn’t work this way. Sending emails requires server resources, and there’s only so much a hosting provider can give in exchange for a few dollars per month.
What usually happens with unlimited email hosting is that at some unexpected moment, once the host determines – at their sole discretion – that you are sending too many emails, they’ll suspend your ability to dispatch messages and will contact you in an attempt to understand your email sending needs. At this point, they’ll probably ask you to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server.
So, in short, no – practical unlimited email hosting doesn’t exist; unless you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars per month.
Are email sending limits calculated per email address?
Depending on the host, the limit can be:
- Per email account. In this case, there’s a separate limit for each email box you create.
- Per domain. Here, the limit applies to all email accounts you create under a particular domain, combined.
- Per hosting account. The limit is for all email accounts and all domains created under your hosting package, combined.
Please consult our hosting reviews or the list above to learn about the type of limit a particular host uses.
Are email sending limits negotiable?
Sometimes they are. For example, InMotion’s limit is 250/hour by default but can be increased to 750/hour on request.
Additionally, some hosts are willing to negotiate on price. In the case of these providers, you can try requesting a higher email sending limit during your negotiations – either in addition to or in exchange for a discounted price.
