Disclosure: if you purchase through any links on this web page, I earn referral fees from partners. These fees do not influence my recommendations.

Important: the prices above are for the cheapest unlimited web hosting plans sold by these providers. In other words, some of these providers (specifically, DreamHost and Hostinger) offer cheaper plans, but these plans come with limited storage and only allow you to host one website.

Overall-best unlimited web hosting services: InterServer

InterServer’s shared hosting plan is highly affordable in the long-term due to the company’s price-lock guarantee. Their servers are surprisingly robust and capable of handling sudden traffic spikes without taking a performance hit.

Perfect new sites and websites with up to a few thousand daily visitors.

The basic plan comes with a range of extras such as free SSL, free backups, and free malware scans. Even their domains and dedicated IPs are very cheap.

InterServer is also at the top of our cheap web hosting services rankings.

Basic plan highlights:

  • Starting price: $4.00/mo.
  • Websites allowed: no limit
  • Storage: no limit
  • Data transfer: no limit
  • Free domain: no
  • cPanel: yes
  • Money-back guarantee: 30 days
  • Live chat: 24/7

Cheapest unlimited web hosting – Hostinger

Hostinger’s Premium plan, which costs $2.89 a month for a 4-year subscription, comes with unrestricted bandwidth, unmetered storage, and support for unlimited websites.

Additionally, the plan renews at a competitive $3.49 per month after the first term. If you’re looking for truly cheap hosting with unlimited bandwidth and other resources, this is it.

On the flip side, their live chat queue wait times can be incredibly long, and their servers don’t handle sudden traffic spikes too well. The 20 GB storage limit is also quite underwhelming.

See our Hostinger shared hosting review for a more comprehensive overview.

Premium plan highlights:

  • Starting price: $2.89/mo.
  • Websites allowed: unlimited
  • Storage: 20 GB
  • Data transfer: unlimited
  • Free domain: yes
  • cPanel: yes (customized version)
  • Money-back guarantee: 30 days
  • Live chat: 24/7

Best user interface and longest money-back guarantee: DreamHost

DreamHost’s “Unlimited” plan is one of the cheapest in the industry, coming in at $4.95 a month with a 3-year subscription.

You’ll appreciate DreamHost’s inviting and clutter-free user interface, most generous money-back guarantee in the business (97 days), and affordable renewal prices.

DreamHost is also on our list of hosts with free website backups and at the top of our unlimited inodes hosting rankings.

Basic plan highlights:

  • Starting price: $2.59/mo.
  • Websites allowed: one
  • Storage: 50 GB
  • Data transfer: unlimited
  • Free domain: with some plans
  • cPanel: yes
  • Money-back guarantee: 97 days
  • Live chat: 5:30 am to 9:30 PM PT

Unlimited hosting provider with the best tech support: InMotion

InMotion would have secured a spot closer to the top of this list if it wasn’t for their relatively high prices – the cheapest plan starts at $6.39 a month.

However, InMotion sets itself apart by having one of the best customer service in the business, a 90-day money-back guarantee, very high email sending limits, and a free domain bundled with all shared hosting plans.

They also have great hosting for students and are on our list of hosts with negotiable prices.

Does unlimited bandwidth mean that my website can receive unlimited traffic?

In theory, yes.

If you own an incredibly popular site with tens of thousands of daily visitors, your hosting provider might object. For the overwhelming majority of website owners, though, unlimited bandwidth implies unlimited traffic.

However, past a certain traffic threshold, your website will begin to struggle. This threshold varies from host to another but is usually somewhere between the 2,000-5,000 daily visitors.

Beyond this threshold, your website will still be able to serve users, but this will come at the expense of reduced performance, slower load speeds, and even total website crashes.

What’s more, the threshold is a moving target and varies throughout the day, depending on how much strain your host’s servers happen to be under at a given time.

As a result, if your website regularly receives more than a few thousand daily visitors, and your users’ satisfaction is a top priority, consider a VPS or dedicated server.

For everyone else, unlimited bandwidth website hosting is the way to go.
